Dance Wars

"Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann" pitted two of America's favorite judges from Dancing with the Stars against each other - Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. The premise of the show is a bit like American Idol but with dancing thrown in. Both Bruno and Carrie Ann held auditions and chose contestants until they whittled the field down to fourteen - seven girls and seven boys. Bruno and Carrie Ann, as team captains, chose their teams and competed against each other every week for the final prize of a recording deal with Hollywood Records. Viewers voted for their favorite team each week and the losing team captain had to choose someone to send home.

Dance Wars premiered on January 7, 2008 and it was hosted by former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Drew Lachey. The show is based on the UK reality show "Dance X."

Season 1

The first week, the final fourteen were chosen: Allysa, Bradley, Charity, Chris, Corina, Elizabeth, Kelsey, Lacey, Mariel, Qis, Maxx, Phillip, Tony, and Zack.
