Does NBC know reality television? Considering the many reality television shows that have aired on the network the answer is YES! Here are some of the reality tv shows you might have seen on NBC.

America's Got Talent - This is a reality show which features a talent search looking for the next big talent act. The show has a diverse contestant base as it is open to anyone with any talent - singing, dancing, or whatever. The winner of the show gets $1 million..

The Apprentice - First airing in 2004, this show features a group of business men and women who compete for a job with billionaire Donald Trump. Each week, someone is eliminated, and the winner receives a one year contract working for one of Donald Trump's companies, and this contract is worth $250,000 dollars. Trump has made famous the phrase "you're fired", something he tells one or more people at the end of every boardroom session. A spin-off of this show was created, The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, but due to its poor ratings, it was not renewed for a second season. The failure of the show also led to a publicized rivalry between Martha Stewart and Donald Trump.

The Biggest Loser - This reality show begin airing in October of 2004. It features a group of overweight contestants who are competing to see who can lose the most weight. Week after week, a contestant will be eliminated, and the contestant who is able to lose the most weight throughout the series will be awarded $250,000

Last Comic Standing - This is a reality show that first aired in 2003. The goal of this program was to select the best comedian out of a group, and award them with a contract via the network. They would also appear on Bravo and Comedy Central. This show has maintained a strong following since it was introduced.

Grease: You're the One that I Want! - This is a reality show that looks for the best contestants to play the role of Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski, who are two characters from the musical Grease. The show uses the format of a Broadway revival that is worth millions of dollars. The winners of the show will appear on Broadway in the summer of 2007.
